The Foundation for Wildlife Management is excited to invite you to our 3nd Annual F4WM Members Wolfer Summit
Thursday, August 7th through the 10th
Our 3nd annual F4WM Wolfer Summit August 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th is your chance to learn how to hunt and trap wolves successfully! This is your opportunity to learn from the very guys who are getting the job done year in and year out. This amount of knowledge about wolves and the targeting of them, only gathers at one location, once per year and it is at this event! Please join us to take advantage of this incredible opportunity to learn from some of the best in the business!
THIS IS AN F4WM MEMBERS ONLY EVENT:
- Membership can be purchased at the gate.
- 17 years of age and under are free and allowed in without a membership.
ENTRY FEE:
- $50 per day or $100 for a weekend pass (This is not a fundraiser event, but we are trying to cover the fees for renting porta-potties and shade/shelter tents etc etc)
WOLF DEMO EVERY 2.5 HOURS (Schedule will be posted here once finalized)
Our first Wolfer Summit event was fast paced, and many asked for more time between Seminars to make the event more fun and less strenuous.
Last year we adopted a new schedule that provided an extra half hour between presenters to allow attendees to get food, use the rest room, add or remove layers of clothing depending on the weather, and to get to chat with the presenters afterward. But many had to leave prior to mid-day Sunday to make their trek home…
So this year we plan to hold a couple of demos Thursday afternoon/evening, and then wrap up at lunch-time on Sunday to hopefully allow opportunity for all to catch the majority of the demonstrations.
THE FOLLOWING IS A ROUGH OUTLINE OF WHAT TO EXPECT:
Thursday: Gates open at 10:30am, roll in and set up camp.
Thursday: Seminars at 3:30pm and 6pm
Friday: Seminars: 8am, 10:30am, 1pm, & 3:30pm Roundtable discussion at 6pm.
Saturday: Seminars: 8am, 10:30am, 1pm, & 3:30pm
“CONSERVATION NIGHT” SATURDAY EVENING 6pm:
Dinner: Please bring a potluck dish to share for dinner.
Live Auction:Please bring an item to donate to our Live Auction to help us cover the expenses of the event.
Intro to and Presentations from Partnering Organizations: Without our Conservation partners, we would not have the wolf seasons we have, nor the strength it has taken to defend our way of life against the anti-hunting/anti-trapping community. “Conservation night” will include an opportunity for each of our conservation partners that attend with a booth, to talk about their organization, what they do, how that ties into wolf management, and how they support or collaborate with F4WM to help us reach our goals. None of our organizations survive without membership numbers – please support those who support us.
F4WM Awards: NEW- F4WM Wolfer of the Year, and Rookie of the year Awards to be given!
EVENING DISCUSSION TIME:
We understand that many of our people are not social butterflies, and may not feel comfortable presenting to, or asking questions in front of a crowd. For that reason, we want to invite everyone to join in the fun discussions and enjoy the comradery under the big tent in the evenings. We are all there to share and to learn… This event will be the one time each year that this much wolfer knowledge is gathered in one location – please take advantage of this Unique opportunity!
DRY CAMPING (included in entry fee):
Bring your camper, RV, or tent, and feel free to take advantage of our gracious hosts hospitality. We are very thankful for the Finney Family allowing us to host this event on their private property, and even more so for the opportunity to camp out there.
Please be kind and respectful of this beautiful property and do all you can to leave it better than you found it. You are responsible for hauling your own garbage, picking up after yourself, and caring for the land we have been blessed to use.
Please be courteous and respect other campers quiet time by keeping noise at reasonable levels and not running generators while folks are trying to sleep. Please- no fires…
